Ok, I didn’t find this film as reprehensible as others suggest. It’s not great but in all honesty it’s not a bad film. Whether it messes up the Hellraiser canon is a topic for another day.
Two young friends head out on a drink and fuck road-trip to Mexico and incidentally acquire the lament configuration. The pair go missing and leave their families to wonder what happened. But, on a random night one of the boys shows up at the house where both families are having dinner. Instead of providing answers his behavior turns sinister and things begin to spiral out of control.
The new pinhead is crap but the blood and gore aren’t too bad. There is a touch of incest and devilish behavior which work well. I’d like to know exactly what people hate about this film. It’s somewhat fun and worth a one-time watch.
